The pain au chocolat was 10/10. The outside was flaky and the inside was fluffy and the chocolate was rich but not overbearing. If you want a sweet treat and love chocolate, def recommend. Also got the cappuccino, and as someone who doesn’t normally drink coffee, I really liked it. The design on top was cute, too. I did have to add some the pack of sugar they gave me into it but I also like my drinks sort of sweet.

When I saw a rating like 3.7, I was initially in a dilemma about coming here. But once we had breakfast, we were content. I've been to 3 other cafes in Segovia, but I liked Colonial best. I visited twice in 2 days—that sounds comfortable and likable.
I remember the first day; the cute girl at the counter was very charming and welcoming. She speaks Spanish and I speak English—yet we communicated quite well🙂. She served us well and made a real effort in making coffee designs. (Yes, it had just opened and wasn't crowded at that moment.)
Besides, they open pretty early, which I was looking for. Fresh pastries and a tasty Spanish omelet were served hot. Prices were quite cheap. It gets gradually crowded, and weekends are pretty full even at 9 a.m.

Love the Churros, very good and i can recommend them. Staff is friendly and unlike in most places, this is not a self-service bar. Recommend it.

Lovely old bar cafe in the town centre. We went for the traditional Spanish breakfast of toast with olive oil cheese and tomato. Delicious! Friendly staff and a nice cup of tea. What more could you want?
